Belinda currently teaches from a studio in Constantia. The classes are weekly morning classes between
9.00am – 12.00pm and follow the school terms. There are typically 9 classes per term. Classes are small and intimate with a maximum number of 7 painters in a class.
The classes on offer are not based on any level of skill or talent - beginners are welcome! Classes are for your creative pleasure and exploration. Art is an incredibly therapeutic experience and Belinda aims to teach the process and principles of painting and thereby give you the skills to further explore this process. The only person who stands in judgement of you is yourself! So don’t question whether or not you are ‘good enough’ to paint. A wise soul once said, ‘Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.’
Lessons typically begin with a class in covering the basics e.g. your equipment, technique and painting instruction. This is then followed by a short demonstration in mixing your palette and how to approach your first Still Life painting. Still Life studies are regularly set up in the studio for you.
Should you decide to join a class further information on what to bring to the first class and where to purchase your kit etc. will be emailed to you.
